For as long as I can remember I’ve always been fascinated with activities that involve flying through the air. Growing up I spent my free time hitting dirt jumps on my BMX and free style diving off the high platforms in the pools around town. I naturally developed an appetite for thrill seeking and adrenaline sports, such as bungee jumping and cliff diving. At the age of 23 I started skydiving. My desire to jump out of planes increased when I discovered Edmonton Skydive. I took my AFF with them and am now currently an A license skydiver.
Just shy of two years ago I met my girlfriend Kirsten who’s also a skydiver and a very active adventure seeker and explorer. Together we’ve explored many cool places and experienced things I’ve never done before. In Mexico we swam through fresh water cenotes and underwater caves. We skydived beside the Atlantic ocean over Sebastian, Florida. The next day we went paddleboarding through the swamps and rivers with alligators and manatees. We have taken several trips to the Canadian Rockies to visit glaciers and frozen water falls hidden way out in the mountains. We recently just summited Sulphur Skyline in Jasper, Alberta, which was my first mountain summit.
I’m looking forward to the next few months. Kirsten and I have lots planned together. We’re skydiving over the Okanagan Lake in B.C. and Skydance in Davis, California. We’re flying out to Aspen Colorado to visit family and explore cool spots. There’s even talk about us filming a video in Hawaii with sharks! So naturally I’m really excited.
All these experiences make me want to travel more and explore amazing new places around the world.
